Just a little update from the clan! Henry is doing great-- we couldn't be happier with him! Iona loves having a big brother around! Thanks again!

Luna-formerly Hope

Update on Hope

Luna-formerly Hope
Jeff and Melanie

My husband and I wanted to add a second dog to our family and after a lot of searching I found Hope. We woke up at the crack of dawn to drive almost 4 hours to meet her. I was already in love with her but once she was in my arms I knew she was meant to be a part of our family. She is doing great in her new home. To say that she is spoiled is a huge understatement! Because she was abandoned as a baby the vet said she was a little underweight but in the first 4 weeks we had her, she gained 10 pounds. She is now a very happy and healthy girl. Luna loves to play with her big brother, a 2 year old husky and the many toys that we have bought her. She is the sweetest dog I have ever met, she loves everyone she meets. It still makes me sad to think that someone could just throw such a sweet pup away but because of the amazing things that Pals for Pups does she is now in a home full of love and she will never go hungry again.

Update on Lilly!

Lilly, also answers to Pill or Lilly Pad!

I adopted Lilly a year ago last May! She's grown into an even more sweet and loving dog! She enjoys romping through the mud and shallow waters of any creek or on the sandbars at the lake! I'm looking forward to adding another addition to our family soon!

A Happy Pig's Tale

"Wilbur" aka "Fatty"
Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary,Inc.

"Wilbur" was living in horrible conditions, outside with freezing temperatures and just a tarp cover.

"Wilbur" AKA Fatty found a home at Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary, Inc.. We can not thank our volunteers, followers and supporters for ALL of your hard work. Thank you to for those who went out in the sub zero temperatures and snow to rescue him, the foster parents who took care of him, the transport team who drove 11 hours round trip to make sure Wilber and Happy Trails Farm and Animal Sanctuary, Inc. for giving him a FOREVER HOME! Here's an important fact....a mature pig will be approximately 13-20 inches tall, with an average weight being 130-150 pounds, but can range in size from 90–175. Overeating and overfeeding can lead to obesity in your pig, resulting in a weight well over 200 pounds. A properly maintained piggy can be a great and joyful addition to a family.

Mona (now Darcy)

Up-date on Mona ~ now Darcy

Thank you for writing. Darcy now knows her name.

She had an x-ray of her leg and the bone above her knee
was broken and healed at a 90 degree angle to what it should
be. This caused a deterioration of her knee cap. We are trying her
on Rimadyl which seems to help, but we will stop it and see if
she hops more.

Yesterday was the first time she and Harry tore through the house and
chased each other down the stairs.
They were playing upstairs on the bed, ran down stairs and around the
coffee table about five times. They were both exhausted.

She now sleeps in bed with us and stays there all night long. She never
has even had an accident in the house. She still has that
iron bladder. I get excited when she goes tinkle in two hours. She
usually only goes three times a day - 6am, 2 pm, 10pm.

I attached a picture - I think she feels at home. Please let me know
whether you get the picture.

We all love her and she has gained about a pound. I just can't let her
get fat with her bad leg. What a change there has been in her
confidence. I think she loves being here!

Update on Watson

Up-date on Watson~

Hello! We just adopted Watson at the petco adoption event on Sat. March 1. First of all, we love him so much already and he is adjusting well. He is so smart and picking up potty training quickly, even in the snow! He has also already mastered his name, come, and sit! He is learning stay, as well....so smart!

I did forget to ask on adoption day if anyone was aware of their exact birthdate, or if they had an estimated date. We would just like to know to pass the info on to our vet (and to have a reason to spoil him a little extra one day). Also, I don't remember anyone saying whether or not they had been dewormed?

Thank you so much for all that you do for these sweet animals. I wish we had more space so we could adopt more or foster. Maybe some day.We will keep you updated on how he is doing!
