It's been said that the eyes are the window to ones soul. While our canine friends cannot tell us their story with words, their eyes often reveal a past of pain that is likely better left unspoken. In the case of sweet Rory; her eyes, multiple sores, and a broken body tell a history of disappointment and pain. Her sweet demeanor and love for belly rubs however, tell a tale of forgiveness and hope for the future. Rory was rescued with several other dogs by Pals for Paws from a shelter in Texas after all dogs not adopted by the long Memorial Day weekend were scheduled to be euthanized. When she came to us it was clear that her hind leg was in terrible shape and she had been suffering without any pain meds for quite some time. Sadly the vet could do nothing to save it and it had to be amputated. Rory may have lost her leg, but she hasn't lost her spirit and happily enjoys long walks without missing a beat! Rory is approximately 8 years old, loves to play with toys, and adores the attention of all humans. She is very laid back, but prefers to be your one and only dog. Despite whatever sadness Rory has faced in her past, she has forgiven humans and is very hopeful for a fresh start in a forever home that will treat her right. Will you be Rory's happy ending? Please share and help Rory live happily ever after.
